Crafting & Community with Chai Guys
Share

On the evening of Tuesday, 4th November we had the distinct pleasure of partnering with local London favourite Chai Guys for an evening of crafting & community at Chai Guys Bakehouse on Portobello Road in Notting Hill, London.

Guests enjoyed bottomless Chai throughout the evening along with some of the bakehouse's signature Cardamom Buns! The evening kicked off with an introduction from Rajani Baker's founder, Victoria, along with a brief tutorial and demonstration of a few classic embroidery stitches. Everyone was then invited to select their favourite print from our Rani Bow Scrunchie collection and was then provided with embroidery supplies and a selection of unique beads and pearls to make their own personalised creation!
We were so impressed with the different techniques and directions each guest selected to embellish their elegant bow! One guest used the lazy daisy stitch to surround her pink elephants with beautiful flowers, each with a pearl in the centre! Another guest used our gold foil beads to highlight the centres of each of the flowers in our pink trellis print bow. The possibilities were endless and everyone came up with such creative ideas.

We finished off the night with more socialising and a tasting of six flavours of Madhu Chocolates! We are very sad to say that after 8 years of operation, Madhu Chocolate has recently had to shut down due to the exponential increase in global cacao prices. We were very proud to help bring them to the UK! So, it was a truly unique opportunity for everyone involved to get to sample them all one last time. The Dark Rose was a strong fan favourite that night!

We were also thrilled to have Jaspreet Singh on hand, an acclaimed Punjabi filmmaker, who caught some great pics between sips, laughs, and stitches.
Special thanks to the team at Chai Guys for partnering with us to create such a special event, especially Priya and Sharon, who joined us on the night!
We hope to host another evening of this kind again. Feel free to share in the comments any different types of events you'd like to see or other venues you'd love to see us partner with next time!
