Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Rajani Baker Limited is a privately owned UK-based business. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and handling personal information with care and transparency. This policy outlines how we collect, use and protect your data.
Why we collect your information
We collect personal information when you register with us or place an order. This allows us to process your purchase, manage your account, and—where you have opted in—keep you informed about products and updates we think may interest you.
How we use your information
Your information helps us improve and personalise your experience on our website.
When processing orders, we may share relevant details with credit reference and fraud prevention agencies.
Except for marketing communications (outlined below), we process your data under one of the following lawful bases:
- Performance of a contract (e.g. fulfilling your order or managing your account)
- Legitimate interests (e.g. analysing customer behaviour to improve our products and services)
For more information on your rights and data protection laws, please visit the ICO website: www.ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr
Payment
All card payments are securely handled by our payment providers. Rajani Baker does not see or store your credit or debit card details.
If you choose to pay via PayPal or Klarna, you will be redirected to their platforms, and we do not have access to your account details with these providers.
Marketing communications
If you have opted in, requested information, or made a purchase, we may contact you with updates and product news. You can opt out at any time by emailing hello@rajanibaker.com.
Please note that opting out of marketing does not remove data we are required to retain for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Sharing your data
We use a trusted third-party email marketing provider to manage our communications. This is governed by a contract that ensures your data is not sold or used beyond our instructions.
We do not share your personal data with other companies. However, in limited circumstances, authorised third-party service providers may access data where necessary (e.g. IT system maintenance), always under strict contractual protection.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law, for example to regulatory bodies such as HMRC.
Access and updates
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to ask for corrections or deletion where applicable.
To make a request or update your details, please contact us at hello@rajanibaker.com.
Cookies
We use cookies to collect standard website usage data and understand visitor behaviour. This helps us improve our website and customer experience.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, although some website features—such as placing an order—may not function correctly as a result.
If you accept all cookies, we may also use Google Analytics cookies to analyse website traffic. These do not identify you personally.
For more information, visit: www.allaboutcookies.org
Data retention
We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to meet legal, financial, and operational requirements, and to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.
Policy updates
This policy is reviewed regularly and may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
